The Joyful Company of Singers were given kind permission by the Orfeó Català for the UK premier of my setting of Ave Maris Stella as part of JCS’ November 2023 Remembrance programme (see “Competition Win & Barcelona Premier” for more on this in the News section). And JCS also premiered my setting of William Blake’s lovely poem, Sweet Dreams Form a Shade at their Christmas Concert in December 2022 at St. Gabriel’s, Pimlico.

And the exciting new ensemble, HEXAD, made up of recent graduates from the outstanding choirs at St. John’s, Cambridge and New and Magdalene Colleges, Oxford, and who are now starting their careers with Tenebrae, The Sixteen, Ex Cathedral and The Gesualdo Six, performed There is No Rose in their Christmas programme including a concert at Hay-on-Wye Castle.
